Identity is the new perimeter — again

Identity is the new perimeter — again

The perimeter kept getting redrawn: from the firewall, to the endpoint, to identity. The latest twist is that identities now include non-human actors — service accounts, bots, and autonomous agents — at enormous scale.

Securing the org increasingly means governing what each identity is permitted to do, continuously, rather than guarding a network edge that no longer exists.

Signal: budget is flowing to identity governance for machines, not just people.
